Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
CCC has been is business for five years.
What is your primary product or service?
We offer worship services where we experience God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ, small groups where we find community and encouragement to live out our values, and coaching-mentoring to provide individuals the focus they desire to reach their goals.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I saw in my teens the value of a relationship with Jesus backed by very personal encouragement to live in Christ in the context of a community of friends. I was drawn to find a way to offer that effectively through a local church.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
There are many good churches in the area, but we're different from most in several ways.
1) We're quite young and contemporary. The age of our average adult attendee is under 30 and our service music is more indie and rock.
2) We place a high value on meeting needs personally, people to people, avoiding using programs to meet needs whenever possible. We want every person to be known and supported.
3) While we are less traditional in our approach, we still value what Christians through the centuries valued; knowing and following God through Jesus His Son, trusting His word in the Scriptures, seeking to be empowered by His Spirit, loving one another and the world around us so that first in us and then in the community around us His will would be done.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have a single location at 406 Prescott. While we don't plan to expand to multiple locations, we do plan to grow. In the future we plan to help some other new churches get started out of our church.
Provide detailed directions to your location
Coming from downtown, from the baseball stadium go three blocks east on Bellemeade and Bellemeade ends at corner of Prescott St. by the church.
If you are coming into downtown from Battleground/Smith, take a right onto Presott St after crossing the railroad tracks, but before Spring St.
What are your hours of operation?
Our worship is at 11:00 on Sunday mornings. Our small groups meet at different times during the week in homes and coffee shops or restaurants.
